This term our learning objectives are;

 

Identify and name a variety of everyday materials including wood, plastic, metal, water and rock.

 

Distinguish between an object and the material from which it is made.

 

Compare and group together a variety of everyday materials on the basis of their simple physical properties.

 

Describe the simple physical properties of a variety of everyday materials.

ACTIVITY

Types of materials Objects are made out of different materials because their properties are most suited for the job the object does. Watch this video to understand a bit more:

 

 

Now look in your house. Find an object and decide what material it is. Why has that material been used?

To identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part is associated with which sense.
