Year One Science Activity for Home Learning (Spring Two)

British Science Week is a ten day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths.  Science Week 2021 takes place between the 5th and 14th March.  We will be marking British Science Week at Sunnymede School with a range of Science activities and investigations in line with the requirements of The National Curriculum.  The theme of this year's British Science Week is;

 

INNOVATING FOR THE FUTURE

ACTIVITY

 

Your activity for Home Learning this half-term is to enter the British Science Week poster competition.  Full details of how to enter the competition can be found by following the link below.  When you have designed and completed your entry please post a copy on Google Classroom before submitting your entry. 

You’ve got until 25th March 2021 to submit your entries to school, and we will choose five winning entries to go forward to the National Competition along with the name of the artist, email address and postcode location.  Good Luck!

This term our learning objectives are;

Identify and name a variety of common animals, including fish, amphibians, reptiles,birds and mammals.

Describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals including pets).

Compare and group together a variety of everyday materials on the basis of their simple physical properties.

 

Describe the simple physical properties of a variety of everyday materials.
