Summer 2 Topic: Famous People
We will be learning about various famous individuals. Some of these are authors including Roald Dahl and Roger Hargreaves, famous chefs such as Jamie Oliver, famous athletes including the Brownlee brothers and famous artists Vincent Van Gogh and Barbara Hepworth!

Summer 1 Topic: Minibeasts
Our topic for this half-term is minibeasts. We will be learning and writing about the ladybird's life cycle and creating our own story based on the 'Bad Tempered Ladybird' by Eric Carle. We will also write our recount of our trip to Norsey Wood. I wonder how many minibeasts in their microhabitats we will be able to spot when we are there?

On the 28th April we walked to Norsey Wood for our forest school session. We had lots of fun searching for minibeasts, building dens, using a saw to cut wood and even toasting marshmallows!

Our Christmas Performance
Autumn 2 Topic: Winter
This half term we are going to be identifying daily and seasonal weather patterns and discussing why it is colder in winter in the UK. In Art we will be having our annual 'Winter Art Morning' where we are going to be creating artwork inspired by the colours of winter. In Science we are conducting an ice investigation and learning about Arctic animals who have adapted to survive in cold conditions. In Computing we are going to be designing and creating a Christmas Card which we can print and in DT we are going to learn the skill of weaving to create an appealing Christmas decoration.
Autumn 1 Topic: London
This half term we are learning about our capital city, London. We will learn about a historical event, The Great Fire of London, along with key landmarks in the city and Paddington Bear stories.
