Key Stage One Assessments

Please note that children in Year 2 will be undertaking Key Stage One SATS in May 2022. All children should be in school to complete these assessments. Parents will be given the opportunity to have a feed back meeting with the class teacher on the 7th July. Information will be sent to you nearer the time.


Don't forget:

To help your child practise their spellings and maths challenge over the next few weeks. These have been sent home via Parent Mail


Reading books need to be in school everyday. Please keep their book in the named plastic bag that we have provided.


Children can bring to school their book bag, but please ensure no drinks are put into these and that they still have their plastic RWI bag. 





 P.E. Days

Hedgehogs class have P.E. time-tabled for a  Monday and a Wednesday.

Please ensure that your child comes to school dressed in their PE kit.

Please be aware that long hair should be tied up and earrings out for PE lessons. 



SATs books

The children do not now need to complete set pages in their Reading comprehension and Maths SATS buster books each week. These books are for you to keep and if your child wishes to they can complete the remaining pages at home.

We went to the Billericay Music Festival on the 16th June

In maths we have been learning about fractions.

In our DT lessons we designed and made our own pizzas.

Summer 1. Our Topic is Minibeasts.

On the 28th of April we went to Norsey Wood. We had a forest school session. It was great fun and we all enjoyed ourselves.

This half term we are taking part in tennis lessons.

We have been learning about mass in class this half term.

On the 20th April we celebrated the Queen's birthday and her platinum Jubilee. We wore red, white and blue and had a tea-party.

Chinese Arts Week: 7th February
