Sunnymede Vision & Mission statements

Our Mission statement sets out what we strive to do for our pupils on a day to day basis: 

"At Sunnymede Infant School we prepare our pupils to meet the challenges of the future through our high standard of teaching and learning. We meet the needs of all our pupils, guiding and nurturing them with stimulating and inspirational teaching. We work in close partnership with parents and carers so that every child can fulfil their potential."

The following aims support us in achieving our school vision:


  • There is a strong message of a healthy lifestyle in all its aspects is promoted throughout the curriculum (RSHE scheme, mental health, spirituality, forest school, PE, food, Zones of Regulation)


  • Teaching and learning takes place through a broad, progressive, curriculum which enables children to retain knowledge, understanding and skills which equip them well for the next stage of learning and the wider world.


  • Robust systems enable parents to engage with the school staff and governors so that feedback about the school informs evaluation and improvement.


  • The expectations, strategies and processes of the school ensure that staff retention and well-being.


  • High expectations and a consistent approach ensures good behaviour for learning.
