Multicultural Arts Week
The children all participated in a wide variety of activities, locating Africa on the map, learning about the climate, costumes and culture. They undertook tasks such as African drumming, art and wrote letters to children in a school in Africa. The children were set a home project of making masks and the staff were impressed with how many children took part and the quality of the masks made. Well done to everyone for your effort!
HM Queen Elizabeth II
On Friday 9th September 2022 the whole school came together for a celebration assembly in honour of the Queen after the sad news of her death. We remembered all the things she loved and what she had done for our country.
Every class made flowers to place by HM the Queen Elizabeth II 's Photo.
Parents were then able to place real flowers at the end of the school day if they wished.
Junk Orchestra
The children had a visit from the Junk Orchestra. They watched an assembly which involved all the teachers playing instruments made of recycled materials. Each class then took part in a workshop and played the instruments themselves. It was a fantastic opportunity and great fun! If you would like to make some quick and easy instruments with your child/children, please follow the links below:
