Applying for a mid-year place at our school:
All mid-year applications should be made directly to the school, using the mid-year application form available through the link below or the school office. Mid-year applications (sometimes called in-year applications) are any application for a school place made to a year group, apart from September admissions to Reception.
For applications into existing year groups, a place will be offered when the number of pupils in the relevant year group is below the admission number for that year group.
Sunnymede Infant School holds a waiting list for pupils in over subscribed year groups. A child will only remain on the Waiting list for one term. To remain on the waiting list you need to email: Office@sunnymede-inf.essex.sch.uk at the beginning of each term.
Please note: if a mid-year application is received during a school holiday period, we will respond as soon as possible when the school reopens.
The admissions round for children starting in September 2023 opened on 7th November and closes on the 15th January 2023. Applications can be made online via: www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.
All applications received after the closing date will be treated as late and will only be processed after all on-time applications.
You are less likely to get a place at one of your preferred schools if you apply later.
Sunnymede is a warm and welcoming school and where possible we will hold 'Open Days' for those looking for a Reception place for their child.
